The Namibian Region of Food and Gastronomy

  • The Namibian Region of Food & Gastronomy is a national competition between the 14 regions of the country.
  • Each region will host a competition inviting participants to cook a dish using local ingredients. The winning representatives from the regions will be chosen through to represent the food culture of the region at the national cultural food village.
  • There will be a curation of the food culture of the region and the region with the best cultural food system, story and service will be awarded as the ‘Namibian Region of Food & Gastronomy’ 2026.
  • The winners will be announced at the closing of the Magical Cultural Food Village.
